·         Parents: Joseph Steevens (1667-1713) Miller and Maulster and Alice (nee Harris d. 1753) his wife

·         Date of birth: 12 June 1701

·         Meeting: Upperside, Buckinghamshire

·         Date of death: 12 September 1724

·         Burial: 16 September 1724 at Friends Burial Ground, High Wycombe

·         The document is the original hand written will on paper, signed and sealed. At the beginning her name is written as “Rebecca Steevens”, however she has signed it as “Rebekah Steevens”. 

·         Received £170 when 21 under the 1712 will of her father Joseph

I Rebecca Steevens of Chipping Wycomb

in the County of Bucks Spinster being weak

in Body but of a sound Disposing mind and

memory and considering the certainty of Death

and the uncertainty of the time thereof do make

and ordain this my Last Will and Testament

for the disposing of my Temporal Estate in

manner following Imprimis I Give and bequeath

to my Loving Sister Mary Steevens the sum of

fifty pounds of Lawfull mony of Great Britain

Item I constitute and appoint my Dear and

loving Mother Alice Steevens Executrix of

this my Will and I do Give and Bequeath to

My said Mother all the Rest of my Estate in

Witness whereof I have set my Hand and Seal

this fifteenth day of August in the eleventh year

of the Reign of King George over Great Britain

anno Domini one thousand seven Hundred and

twenty four ~ ~
